What is a DVD-RW drive?  Can you make copies of DVD's or just make your own through A/IO?

Picture a DVD-RW the exact same as a CD-RW and you got yourself an accurate representation.  You can copy them but there are copy protections in place (look around, you'll find ways to copy them)

The RW stands for Read/Write. You can use it to record (burn) DVD's. Whether you can copy or not depends on the DVD. Some (most) are copy protected.

But you can use BinChunker and convert them to a VCD file.

I am still gonna hold out buying one until they decide which format is going to be the winner.  I will probably still save data from computer on CD, media is more durable.

I would suggest you wait and get a DVD-R drive.
