Discovered this little gem while logging into AIM for work.

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20636141,00.html

Living through a heart attack has given Rosie O'Donnell a new lease on life – but she hasn't lost her trademark sense of humor.

In a sit-down interview with PEOPLE, the 50-year-old comedian reveals that she digs the reality TV family on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo – and does a spot-on impression of Mama June.

But the comedian's admiration for the family, who live in home with railroad tracks running through the backyard in McIntyre, Ga., goes beyond regular fandom.

"I'd love to meet them," she says, "and buy them a house."

To make them feel better about their own life.

TLC already offered to buy them a new house and they refused; the biggest one says she likes the neighborhood and her Christmas decorating

I'll bet good money that Rosie knows this and said this in an interview just to look nice

She is friends with Larry David, and if there is one thing he seems to know...it's the empty gesture

Ya we just had a thread on this.

TLC was giving them roughly $5k per episode.

They offered them (press release states) between $15-$20k per episode for season 2, a new house, and a driver for the guy who is injured.

They refused the house and refused to get an agent. The press release states that they didn't negotiate a contract, TLC just gave them more cash

All I know is all the proof I ever needed that God does not exist came to me on the day that I found out that Rosie O'Donnell had lived through a heart attack that should have been fatal. The fact that this fat, evil, leftist bitch could survive and thrive while so many good people do not is beyond my capacity to understand.

I'm pretty convinced hitler dreamed up this show in hell.

and gave it to a scum sucking TV producer in a dream.

The way those people (I use that word loosely) blow money, I'd find someone else to help out that was more deserving.  They could do better for themselves but their priorities are all fucked up.  Reminds of some people in the next town over that live in a ratty ass trailer but have a Corvette sitting in the driveway.

"buy them a house" was a joke....probably the first part too.

But the show probably fits her definition of "reality"......cause it's on TV

The real tragedy is that this rubbish is on the LEARNING channel.

Forget History Channel, Science Channel, and Discovery Channel as well.  They've all gone full retard with reality TV too.  I used to love those channels back when they actually had history, science, and discovery related shows.

I had heard people talking about it, and one night, whilst channel surfing, happened upon it. Since there was nothing else on, I figured I'd see what all the hubub was about. It was like watching a train full of armed 500 pound bombs crash into an orphanage filled with sideshow freaks.
