I joined around that time 4 years ago but I didn't really read GD.
What was it like last time he won? Mass chaos/hysteria? Men weeping like boys? I hope we don't have to find out obviously... |

The collective sound of PMags popiing will sound like Gabriel's trumpets.
Seriously though, I will soon be out of a job (coal industry), so I will not be here if he wins. |
|
Some wailing and grinding of teeth. Some relief, as while the majority support Mittins, few love him. Much drinking.

This place will implode.
It was ugly in 2008––it will be much uglier in 2012. Hopefully he Obama won't win. This place was a lot more fun before the 08 campaign. |
|
A lot of chicken little bullshit and big talk from basement dwellers for a couple days and then it goes back to 24/365 threads and discussions of Honey Boo Boo.

Lol you're posting internet gold today! |

You preface "I hope Obama doesn't win" several times, but I noticed the OP has made quite a few statements about Obama winning in November.
|

If Ohbeamer wins this country will wither and die in few months/years
|

The dozen guys we threw off four years ago for posting racist rants in red capital letters will do it again and lose their latest troll accounts

I think the better question is what will happen on DU if Romney wins. At least we have a lot of manly men here. I can guarantee crying and probably even a few suicides within the ranks of DU welfare leeches, hipsters and union douchebags if their messiah loses.

I've donated to Romney this year and have voted Republican my entire life. Doesn't help that everyone around me is a hard-core Obama fan. I just don't want to get excited about Romney winning that's all. |

Posts on the not so sly about revolution and an enormous member attrition rate.
Lots of finger pointing about who cost us the election. Black jokes. 8700 panic buy threads Just like last time. |

Obama is good for the gun business and since he won't have to be coddling gun owners after winning re-election, expect people here to be buying guns, magazines and ammo like crazy.
I have always thought Obama had a 75% chance of winning. He just has too many electoral votes locked up like California, Illinois, and New York. After last night, it might be down to 60%. |

Hope and change?
Not a real huge Romney fan but I will say last night earned him some "cred" in my book. For me, it will be a feeling of relief. Not a feeling of elation and/or victory, just relief that we got rid of the marxist. Also a little fear. While about 87,000,000 times better then Zero, I still have concerns about Romney governing a little further then the left of center then I would like. Will be interesting to see if the economy comes roaring back because of a Romney win. Been a lot of talk about all the cash sitting on the sidelines due to uncertainty. My hope is Mitt leaves my rights alone, stays out of the morass of social policy and focuses the majority of his efforts on fixing the economy. ETA: OH! If Zero wins... Not Romney (where the heck is my head). Well, lets just hope we don't have to worry about that. |
|
we will experience the most intense concentration of whining to ever occur in known history. regardless of who wins.

It was a lot like you read about the five stages of grief; denial, anger, depression, but without the bargaining or acceptance. Seriously, the stunned shock was palpable for a brief period, like this is all just a misunderstanding and cooler heads will prevail and tell us it was an error and we didn't really just elect someone with zero qualifications to this office. Of course, there were the gloating DU troll asshats, too, but that's what the "ignore" button is for. |

It will get very quiet in here, because most of our heads will have exploded.
|
|
It will be almost 1/100th as bad as DU if Romney wins.
In other words, the world will end. |

I hope we don't have to find out obviously... probably a lot of ranting and raving. four years ago I pretty much just posted "well I bet we are going to have a shitty four years with this keynesian idiot in the white house" Ill probably post the same thing. Nothing will collapse as some say but the decline of standard of living will be noticable for many if this guy gets another four years. |

there will be an immdiate surge in "I just got laid off" threads.
