He manages to hide in the glove compartment as the hostages are being rounded up.




He then spends an hour and twenty minutes taking the war to them.  




And, he only has 58 minutes to save the day, as that's when his flight from LaGuardia leaves for Miami, where he's going on vacation with his wife, Shirley Muldowney.
