I have some ideas what I want, but I wonder what's out there that I may be missing. I hoping you can enlighten me. My interests include modern military firearms and mid to late 19th century firearms, but i am open to suggestions. I have around $1,000 to spend on it.
As soon as someone posts something I have to have they will be declared the winner. I will send them a UDE LaRue hat (new...never worn), a like new set of Magpul back up sights (they came installed on an upper I bought...never used them), and possibly something else. I'll have to see what I have available. The rules... Reply and post your suggestion, add any reasons why it is awesome and any personal experience you have with it, post a pic of it and a link with information. It can be a handgun, rifle, or shotgun. That's it. You can make as many suggestions as you want. I'm hoping that you'll show me some things I've missed out on so far. Thanks. ETA pic of the prize...

Modern firearms?
Suppressor. Why are they awesome? Because they're awesome. Suppressed weaponry is best weaponry. You could SBR an AR and suppress it for ~$1,000 including both stamps. I'd recommend a .30cal suppressor for your AR so that you could run .300blk or put it on any .30cal firearm you have. |

I'm currently interested in the Rock Island Armory 22TCM 1911. It is a double stack 1911 that shoots their 22 tcm caliber. This cartridge uses .223/5.56 projectiles and a cut down .223/5.56 case. It has a mag capacity of 17 rds and also comes with 9mm barrel.

I'm assuming you have a decent AK clone if you want one? If not maybe something with ARSENAL stamped on it or that originates in Poland?
Calico so everyone can say "what the fuck is that thing?" I sold mine though about 4 years ago due to hating it but YMMV. Nice mid-tier 1911 in a fun caliber like 9x19 or .38 super? 5 High Point carbines (9 or .45) to leave in boxes and resell for a ludicrous profit in 5 years. M1A. Because.... Um, because it's an M1A? Don't think I need a reason. Edit to fix format. |

Richards Mason Conversion from Cimarron  1872 Opentop from Cimarron  Don't know about you, but I think the 1851 Navy and 1860 Army were the most beautiful revolvers ever produced.  I wish the Cimarron Richards Mason Conversion replicas or the 72 Open top had been available when I was active in cowboy action. Those revolvers fit the hand and point like no others. |

VEPR 7.62x54R carbine
AK reliability, compact size, built on an RPK receiver, dirt cheap surplus ammo to stock up on compared to .308 or 30.06. Makes liberals' heads explode just thinking that you can own such evil goodness! |

If the above doesn't win, I would propose the following: CMMG LW 16" .22 upper (or include the lower, too) but the reason I say upper only is so you can stock up on .22 mags, etc, and configure it to mimic one of your 5.56 ARs used for HD. Same handguard/rail, same stock/grip/furniture, same white light, same optics, same sling, etc. Throw in a whole bunch of bricks of .22 and you're good to go. Tons of fun!  That's what I'd recommend for fun. DO IT111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!

HK USP in 9/40/45.
German engineering at its finest. CDNN has new ones for around $700-$750. My USP 9 will have gone 4 years without a single cleaning or lubing in a few weeks with no FTExtract, no FTFire/feed, and no stovepiping despite being used in competitions, duty and ccw. Pics: 
I usually shoot 200 rounds through her a month totaling 9,600, maximum, at the end of october. Only one problem encountered so far. After 3 years of no lubing it was very difficult to use the decock lever. I could still take it off safe but decocking was a problem. A little drop of oil on the detent plate and she was back to normal.

We would take them out and mess w/them, all were F/A. His dad died one day suddenly and sold the house. I ran into my friend at a funeral last year and asked him where the guns were. he was like I think my mom threw them away after he died as she hated guns

If you're looking for a small, easily concealable CCW piece Springfield and S&W both came out with nice single stack sub-compact pistols recently. The S&W M&P Shield is available in 9mm and .40 and the Springfield XDS is in .45 ACP.

Rossi Rossi, owned by Taurus, is following their lead with the Judge and had their new turret gun, the Circuit Judge, on display at SHOT. The Circuit Judge is a rifle version of the Judge revolver. Like the Judge, the Circuit Judge is capable of firing either .410 bore 2 3/4″ or 3″ magnum shot shells, along with .45 Long Colt cartridges. The action is DA/SA, allowing the user to manually cock the hammer for a clean crisp single action trigger break. It has fiber optic front and rear sights, allowing for fast target acquisition.
