I have my great-great-grandfather's Lutheran confirmation (Confirmationslied) dated March 1848. He moved to Indiana from Bavaria in 1837 when he was 13 years old, so I'm guessing this was from a German Lutheran church somewhere in Hamilton County, Indiana when he was 24.

Anyone here that can read this script and tell me what it says?

I lived in Hamilton county for a while. I wasn't aware of any particular German history there. Doesn't mean it wasn't there though.

Get in contact with a large Lutheran church in that county. It is north of Indianapolis, so there should be many.

I can pick out a word here and there but that writing style is really difficult. You need a freakin cryptologist!!!

They can't read it.. It's too scribbly :/ and the writing style predates people born in the 50s
