"Itinerant videographer." *LOL*

Listen, this incident started out as the top story on CNN. They were obviously looking to make this a national issue, a la Rodney King (despite the fact that it bears only the most superficial resemblence).

Based on history and where the tape started being played it was obvious they were following the same "selective release" guidelines. People form conclusions based on the facts presented, even though they are often incomplete. Should the media be forced to air all of the video they have later on, it doesn't really matter as first impressions are what most people go by - and that's the point.

When you look at the big picture of how our media even chooses what stories should go national, and which others must remain local, you see a wonderfully inconsistant dichotomy.

Just show EVERYTHING.

Oh yeah, forgot to menation you have to register at the L.A. Times site. Oh well, it costs nothing and it's spamfree. The story is rather long but I can post the whole thing if you want to read it.

OT: Apparently the L.A. Times registration is machine specific. I'm registered on the machine at my house, but I'm unable to access the sign-on id at the public library, the error messge says that I have not yet activated my account, of course which BS.

If the 16 year old kid, had beaten 46 cops to death with his fist's then drank their blood, doesn't give the Cop the right to hit a handcuffed and subdued suspect.  The Cop must go to prison, 20 years hard labor should be about right!

I agree. Too many cops abuse their power. I've had way too many experiences with LEO on their "high-horse" ..  they need to relax a little.

There is no way a 16-year-old kid with a learning disability IN HANDCUFFS posed any further threat to those guys.

By the way, the "nut grabbing" story is total BS.
