I used to smoke a pack a day 4 years ago.

Then it went to 1/2 a day.

Then it went to 3-5 a day.

Now I smoke about once every week.

I've been given a gift with the ability to not think or care about smokes anymore.

I know some people claim they only smoke every now and then and are usually Lying, buy I'm not kidding you guys, during the day @ work or even kicking it around the home, I don't care about them.

I've been smoking this way for about 6 months now.

Edit to say I started smoking when I was 14, now I'm 23.

We have a very nice relationship going with the nicoderm patch and it is working believe it or not.
This is after smoking 2 packs a day for to long.

PS,this is the longest i ever quit in my entire smoking history and I'm very enthusiastic about the feeling i'm gonna make it.

I smoke about a pack a month and maybe 20 cigars a month.
I really thought there would be more smokers here, but that could just be the liberal propaganda about us gunowners sinking in.

You know we are all heavy smokers, obese, with alcohol problems who beat on our wives regularly right?

I have been smoking one pack a day for 7 years. they just went up to 7.50 per pack where I live. I gotta start buying online. Anybody know a good source for cheap cigarettes? I've heard you can get them less than 20 dollars a carton.

I was up to 2 packs a day; a good scare at the doctors office got me to quit cold turkey 10 years ago.   It was nice to stop coughing when I first got up in the morning and to be able to smell things and taste food again.

It's a never-ending battle, I still have a hard time fighting the urge if I have a cup of coffee after a nice dinner.  I feel for those who try but just can't manage to quit.

Until recently, the only thing I had ever smoked was 1/3 of a cigar on the night of my sister-in-law's wedding. That was four years ago.

About six weeks ago, I took up pipe smoking, but I limit myself to only once or twice each weekend. Hell, not even every weekend. The most I will ever allow myself is twice on the weekend and once during the week. I find it relaxing and enjoyable, and I love the smell of a good pipe tobacco.

Cigarette smoking, on the other hand, is perhaps the most vile habit anyone can have. How do I know? Because my lovely wife smokes. I hate it beyond words. I still can't believe it didn't turn me off as I had sworn it would all through my life.

Well, that's love for ya...

I have no idea what a cigarette "tastes" like, having never been stupid enough to try one. Never will, either...

WTF is your point?

If I have a smoke every now and then how does that effect my nutrition?
Besides, my posts suggests that for some reason the effects of nicotine don't effect me like it does others, that was t he point of my post.

Running over 2 miles a day 4-5 days a week will make you quickly realize you don't need cigs.

AFTER you corrected yourself that you drink Diet pepsi, it made what I had said irrelevant anyway.

So what are you telling me?

Disgusting habit. One of the few beneficial changes in American society has been the ongoing ostracizing of smokers.

The association of smokers with gun owners continues to harm efforts to regain 2nd amendment freedoms.

Note: This is not a issue of personal freedom. Smokers directly harm others by smoking. I have no problem with anyone who wants to gobble those nicotine candies or cover themselves from head to toe with "the patch".

Pack a day. the 'patch' didn't work for me, I still had the urge. I got to find the mental thing before I can quit. In the mean time I make smoking inconvenient for myself, sooner or later I will get pissed off enough to beat this.

Oh really? So, can I safely assume that the thousands of murders perpetrated with the assistance of firearms help our 2nd amendment cause? Screw the criminals, its the smokers that are responsible for eroding our 2nd Amendment rights...

Ever consider Zyban? It's being used by the US Navy on board ships for those who can't kick the habit via willpower alone. The results have been nothing short of amazing from the studies I've read and from those that have used it. Don't forget the fact that most health insurance companies will cover the cost of the drug. It's worth a try...Here's the link for more info
