I stopped out at my sisters house yesterday. Visited for a bit and she started asking my about CCW. I just happened to have my S&W Airweight with me so she had to have a look see. The next thing you know, we are out back with a piece of cardboard and she is test driving my little revolver.

Well then my 6 year old nephew (big kid) comes out and wants to shoot it. Mom says it is ok. After a quick set of instructions about muzzle control and safety I emptied the gun and watched him dry fire it. He did real good as I kept telling him to slowly squeeze and not jerk the trigger.

Finally it looked like he was going to OK so I loaded 1 round in the chamber and got directly behind him. He did great, slowly squeezing until the gun went off. He kept it pointed at the target until I regained contol of it. He hit the cardboard (we were pretty close). You should have seen that kid grin! He thought he was the coolest thing ever.

I can already hear it. Next time I am headed that way, he will be telling me to bring my gun. I will have to take the little .22 pistol next time. Looks like a future shooter in the making.
