Help! Just had a t-storm and came back downstairs to see the TV and computer screens looking very odd. Computer monitor has a de-gaussing button that cleared up the display, but the tv is still hosed. I've cycled power but no joy. Any ideas as to de-gauss a tv? The menu and remote have neither a de-gauss option or button. Thanx, Zack

maybe you can stick the computer CRT face to face against the television and hit the DG button.

use a hoop slightly larger than the picture screen (if 19" use 21" dia.) spiral wrap it in copper wire and connect each end to a 6volt lantern battery and wave it in front of the picture tube. or take it to a tv repair shop, should take about 30 sec. and $5

Unplug the TV for a while. If you have one of the 'instant on' TV's, the degauss circuitry may not activate unless the power is disrupted for a few minutes.
