Today, at 0936 hours local time, the average German taxpayer reached the point where he's actually earning money for himself (or his bank, landlord, utility company etc) after having worked the previous months of this year for taxes alone.
The article at www.n-tv.de (all in German, so no link) however didn't state if this would be income and all other taxes included, or if the next 4 months would be spent working for diverse consumer taxes.

For all I know, Germany (and all of Europe) is not on a slippery slope, but a free fall towards socialism. Now hear this, now hear this: Heed this warning example, once you start with one tiny "social improvement for the oppressed masses", there's no stopping the spiral. That applies ESPECIALLY globally. WhyTF would we subsidizing our wealth away to support 3rd world mudholes? Because Kaffir Onan tells us to? Fuck him. Are we supposed to work for the world to enable some AIDS-ridden $racial_slur_here to survive a few months longer? I'd rather hand a White girl stripping her way through college a fistful of singles. At least that's a win-win situation. [b]I[/b] want decide what's happening with my money, not some scum-sucking socialist functionary who is deeply offended by my living not in a mudhole, but lives in a nice A/C'ed palace himself. And if [b]I[/i] decide to give some street bum a ten-spot, or donate a used but still nice stuff to ARC or the VA, then that's [b]my[/b] decision and I can give what I can spare, as opposed to some official who's not paying any taxes himself holding me more or less at gunpoint and rifling through my pockets.

Now where was I? Ah yes, fuck the UN, fuck socialism, and most emphatically, fuck "redistributing wealth". If you're poor, tough shit, learn something, get a job, and stay out of range.

And they all suck. None of them gives you anything in the way of usable results. To be able to translate text between two languages, you have to speak those two languages better than the average native speaker of either idiom.
Acceptable translation software is the elusive Holy Grail of computer science.

We have no say as to whether this is done or not, but it's OUR money.  Politicians suck, and voting has become a process of picking the 'best' out of some of the worst scum of the earth.
