I live in a small rural community of a few hundred people. This weekend an "ABATE Boogie" was hosted on a 400 acre farm a couple of miles from my home. A minimum of 20,000 bikers attended from across the country. Talk about a lot of bikes! I went out on the front porch at 2AM and could hear the constant rumble of motorcycles in the distance. It was like the humming of a hornet's nest. Believe it or not, we never had any trouble out of any of them. They brought a heck of a lot of business to the local economy and were respectful of others. I guess since ABATE just bought that farm recently, I would assume that it will be held there yearly from now on. A few big-named bands (Foghat, Joan Jett, Kentucky Headhunters, etc.) played there. I heard from a couple of attendees that it was pretty wild over there with nude women everywhere and sex acts in public. Good thing no one under 18 was admitted. [:D]
