I'd hate to watch that in real life. The dude might have been high, might have been drunk, might have been a dirt bag. I'd still feel 100% helpless standing there watching him cook. ETA: Second vid link |

That's rough. No real way of stopping it though. It looked like someone had a hold of him and he pulled them towards the track. No way to really help him unless he was actively trying to get out.

Not much you can do that I can think of without becoming bbq along with him...
Sounded like the same girl who said "why isn't anyone doing anything" was the same that said "nobody go down there!" It would suck to watch, I would be on the phone but not to take video |
|
That would suck to be there
Im glad no one tried to be a hero and got bit as well |
|
Why is it that no one can hold a camera straight for more than 5 seconds? makes me almost carsick
|
|
I had the unfortunate experience of seeing one up that close myself........he cause fire a lot quicker than the guy in the video though.......horrible but there isnt a thing you can do to save him.
I am actually surprised noone tried to pull him off.....most people dont know any better |

"Why isn't anyone doing anything" "I do not understand why nobody is doing anything." Probably the same reason you are not doing anything either, you dumb cunt. |

That girl was an idiot for grabbing onto that shirt.
He could have easily pulled her down onto the tracks. |

I wanted to slap that bitch whining about how nobody is doing anything.
He's literally cooking, sweetheart. Unless you've got salt and pepper, sit there and shut up. |
|
That sucks, his choice though. I was honestly expecting someone to jump down there and be another victim.

Too bad the internet doesn't have smell-o-vision......Between them nasty new York hoochies, and that dude cooking, I bet that was a smelly station...

Watts going on in here? Joules and his girlfriend were having an argument about kirchoff's law. |

Why can't these people just hold the damn camera still and zoom in?

Some one should have told him he isn't allowed to smoke on the subway.

This is the sort of tragedy I'd expect to see in DC. That it happened in NYC is just terrible. |

Would it really have the voltage to push through you if you were wearing shoes and pulled him off without touching any of the rails yourself? Seems like it got him because of the amps and with good contact with two rails.
ETA: If not, surely you could make a big overhand knot in a jacket and pull it tight around his leg and drag him off of it. |

Seems like it got him because of the amps and with good contact with two rails. IIRC, the subway runs on about 600 volts at probably a few hundred amps. The potential is enough to probably get through your soles, especially if you have sweaty feet. |
