Steve, hate to say it, but Ruger makes a nice Red Label O/U in that range. I think GU Wholesale has a run on them right now.

I have a LUGER, not Ruger, over under and I payed about your price range. Damn nice shotguns too.

I picked up a very good condition used Browning Citori in the low end of your price range.

The Ruger Red Label is a nice shotgun. Plus, you've got a company that stands behind their products if you ever have a problem.
Check out SKB, too. I'm not sure about their pricing, but my brother has an SKB over and under that is every bit as nice as the Ruger. |

Anyone seen the new Ruger stainless yet? I kind of like the looks, but in an o/u I guess some people might not like 'em.

do you want a used one or a new one? my FFL is selling a used O/U Belgian Browning 12 ga. 30" bbl for about 9 bills. beautiful gun, wish i had the cash to give him. i was told by others that Belgian Brownings are hard to come by anymore.
i have a O/U Citori (Miroku) that i paid $1700.00 for. love it! i fondle it everyday until the ARs start bitching. then i gotta fondle em too! life is good. |

I would go for a used the Citori. I think that it is a much nicer gun. I don't care much for my red label. I think they are a bit over priced.

American Arms makes some decent O/U in the bottom of that range---well worth the money in my opinion
Ruger makes an excellent one as well as browning |
