I spent a fortune on education...10 yrs all together to get my doctoral degree & then after signing a contract in good faith I find that this POS has been stealing from me for years. The M.D.s I know are scum...is that specific enough for you? You may not be & I regret the generalization. As for pointing fingers, there is only one that I use consistently when it comes to my employer...soon to be ex-employer. |

The clinic may belong to him legally, but it is worthless without me...as he is about to find out. I built this clinic through my hard work & skills. There are bad apples in every profession and occupation I can think of....yes,even the clergy [rolleyes] This is what I wanted to point out to you. You are not the only one who has been cheated out of money in a contract...by a doc or someone else. I have been in the medical field for 25 years-twice as long as you have- and I have seen MANY dedicated docs in the OR's from 7AM to 10PM,doing rounds and office visits between cases.Some are rich, some are not. I'm glad you find it challenging & rewarding...however, I don't see very many poor physicians around my neighborhood. It should not come as a surprise to anyone that many docs are "rich",because many WERE rich before going to med school. Families with $$$ are more likely to afford to send a child to college (4years),med school(4years) and even help support them through residency (specialty) training(4-6+years).That is 12+4+4+(4-6) years=24-26 years of "school/training". Yes,there are some pretty rotten docs ,but there are many good docs out there.I hope you get to meet and work with some of them. No hurt feelings here,but I too get tired of negative generalizations. ....as y'all know.... ALL Texans are 6 foot tall and bow-legged [rolleyes] |
