Asking for a donation to fight the McCain Gun Show Bill, S 890.

The woman that called was well into her sales pitch when she made the statement that this was the biggest threat to our gun rights since the 1994 AWB and the Brady Check.

I asked why then did the NRA, in part, support both of these bills when first passed. I asked when the fight would begin to ensure the 1994 AWB would not be renewed. She did not have much to say on that topic and went back to asking for a donation.

She also denied any support from the NRA for either the AWB or Brady.

Did the NRA not support both these pieces of legislation at least in part?

I attempted to research this after the call but can't find anything to either refute or confirm my thoughts.

i recall something like that when those bills were introduced. Wayne was in favor of something in that bill.

This is total bullshit because we have had an instant check system in this state long before Brady even went into affect. As a matter of fact we still use our own system so we don't even have to deal with the Feds system. We got one gun a month because of the Democratic Gov. and Democratic Legislature in the state at the time.
