Edited to add that I am a "Precision Processor", which means that I figured out this was bull$h!t, but was stupid enough to take the test anyway.

The score it gives is different than the actual IQ #,according to their scale 133,for instance is about a 93-96 iq,bout average.
But,after seeing the sales pitch afterwards,i'm a bit bummed.Reminds me of another study i read
,saying the average male penis length is 5.5 in.
Man,was i bummed after that.

Sounds like this test is the reason behind why a well designed IQ test will either be very large or will be made up of a bunch of smaller tests.   Certain areas someone might score higher than in other areas, if a test focuses more on one area than another it can be skewed.

There are a few online IQ tests out there, some will be really difficult while others aren't so difficult.   Do a few of them if you want a more fair representation, that or get one of the more recognized real world concrete(not virtual) IQ tests.

Has anyone tried to get a lower than 100 score on the IQ test?   Go for a Forrest Gump score below 85 :)

The real IQ test:

Dumb enough to fork over $14.95 for their stupid crap = not too bright. Maybe that explains the stereotype of the smart guy with no common sense?

Kinda reminds me if the "Who's Who" book they try to rip off (all too successfully) high school students with. It is a self- perpetuating money maker, people that fall for it suck other people into it as if to somehow vindicate themselves. Sad, really.

FWIW, I scord what seems to be average here, a 135. That would be most of us above the 95th percentile. Why do I find that statistically unlikely? I mean, I know gun owners are smarte than the avergae bear but, c'mon.

Perhaps only those with highr #s are willing to post them?

More likely this is some guys way to creat sales for a product with no real value except to boost self esteem. Anyone for joining Mensa?

Almost word for word conversation I had with classmate in college:

Her: "Why don't you join [greek letters] honor society. It is very elite. Only freshman who score over a [some number I forget] GPA can be members. This will show future employers what kind of student you were.

Me: "If that is ever an issue, I'm sure my transcripts will show the same thing - and it won't cost me so much"

Always a cynic,
Adam

For the eggheads among us:

If a person holds an opinion which opposes an antagonistic repudiation of a position which is inverse to the diametrical opposite of your view, is it not true that he would then disagree with you?

OK, this is really starting to bug me...

I go back and take it again, intentionally getting one more, and only one more, wrong.

My IQ comes back 4 points lower (understandable), yet instead of a "Visionary Philosopher, I am a "Visual Mathematician"

What gives, suddenly I am a methemetician when I get one less math question right??

BTW - superdav - the reason I took it again is to look at #26. Ever heard of the Pythagorean theorem? - hint, hint. Think scarecrows from "The Wizard of Oz after he gets his brain. What did he say?

Dangit Imbroglio - If you're gonna quote me, at least fix my typos so I come across more as a "visonary philosopher" instead of, "poor typist" [:I]

For those of you reading my post, please mentally insert an apostrophe between the "w" and "s" in "scarecrowes" and a closing quotation mark after "Oz". Thank you.

Think of it as two right triangles with the points touching.  Helps to draw it and do the math. Remember, you can find the third side of a right triangle if you know the measurments of two of the sides.

Edited to add I got a 135 so I guess I am average. [:P]

120. The math killed me. I hate math.

At the same time, we compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Word Warrior.

The first thing we can tell you about that is you are equipped with a verbal arsenal that enables you to understand complex issues and communicate on a particularly high level. But that's just scratching the surface.

My "Intellectual Type" is a "Visionary Philosopher".

I hate it when I'm labeled as 'intellectual'.
Maybe it's because I have never met someone who considers themself to BE an intellectual and I didn't feel like ramming a spike into their liberal intellectual head.

I don't mind being called a "visionary philosopher", but what scares me is that Hitler probably considered himself a visionary philosopher.

Such big words, now my head hurts.

135,,,,Not sure how smart that makes you on this test,,but that is considered well above average elsewhere.
I.Q. tests only work once,,if it took you three trys to get 140 you are only as good as the first score.  I.Q. tests are also specific to gender, socio-economic background and in many cases race.  This means that while a certian test may be good at judging "middle income white guys" it has no revelance to women or some minorities.  Not paying 14.95 for a hard copy should add points,,lol.
I once had to take one from a mean Air Force Psychologist because I laughed at him and said he was stupid.  He felt stupid when we finished as I was no doubt 20 points ahead of him.  I got my clearance and never had to take another interview from these guys.

Congratulations, BusMaster007!
Your IQ score is 124 [:E]

At the same time, we compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your [b]Intellectual Type is an Inspired Inventor[/b]. [whacko]

The first thing we can tell you about that is you've got a great balance between verbal and mathematical skills, and a strength in coming up with ideas. But that's just scratching the surface.

P.S.  Did you know?

More than 60% of Inspired Inventors sleep in the nude.

-------------------------------------------

I agree with FNG; the math killed my score.
The term "inspired inventor" is pretty accurate, though.
So's the sleeping naked part, but, hey!, you didn't need to know THAT! [;D]
