It's too late, my computer is already messed up. White VICE Block of doom.

That was really good. The Colombian chick who spoke a lot at the restaurant toward the first few minutes of the video was freaking gorgeous.
Kind of let down in the end, though...I expected one of those dudes to try it. |

We use scopolamine here in the US as a transdermal patch for motion sickness

Never get to close to people asking directions is the most important thing I got out of that.
You'll get devils breathed. |

Scopolamine is very old drug. We still have it in the pyxis.
It will scramble you and not drop blood pressure or stop you from breathing. Sometimes comes in handy. it is also what the Germans used as "truth serum". Small amounts given slowly to lower your inhibition. |

Scopolamine reduces the feeling that my teeth are wiggling after injecting some Blue Velvet Nuke.

There are all sorts of horrible, or wonderful drugs out there. Anyone nutty enough to try some new and "unique" substance to find out what will happen, looses all of my sympathy. But I will be happy to nominate them for the Darwin awards.

That drug was used during an interrogation in The Guns of Navarone in 1961.
Cool vid. |

Looks like somebody was trying to capitalize on the season finale of Castle.

Not so sure about the Tough Guy at the end. That hooker needs to be killed if 10% of what she says is true. |

I've grown Datura in my yard, it's nothing new.
Depending on the species, you can get scopolamine, hyoscyamine or atropine out of it. All are useful substances and used medicinally. It's not something you really want to trip off of. Very unpleasant effects. Jimsonweed is Datura. Lots of the Solanaceae contain interesting and useful alkaloids. Tobacco is one of them |
|
I've worn Scopolamine patches on long, multiple day fishing trips - it's the shit!

ROFLMAO.
Scopolamine. blech. It's a legit drug. I used scop patches for sea sickness –– decided I'd rather hork than use it. There's a reason Jimson weed and a couple other plants that contain scopolamine are legal: the "trip" sucks soooooo hard that you'll never do that again. Kinda like the first time you drank a whole bottle of Southern Comfort and now can't take even a sip of it. Aversive conditioning. Beautiful plants. Beekeepers hate them, fucks up their honey. |
|
Mmmm, delicious scop. The nurses used to love it when I would "finally" show up to refill their Pyxis with the patches 10 minutes after they called.

Lots of useful meds out there that can't be used therapeutically here in the US because of a lot of seriously batshit people forcing their will on others. |

i dont know about the video being bs or not... no time to watch it... but Scopolamine is what they used to refer as "truth serum" back before a lot of you greenies were born

Quoted: interdasting. My neighbor has one of those in his front yard and it's HUGE. My wife thinks that it is hideous. Didn't know that about that plant. You can find that local. Why go all that way?? http://www.tropical-plants-flowers-and-decor.com/images/ANGELTRUMPET.jpg |

A guy I knew in high school took some datura and ended up in the hospital. I think he got it at a day trip at a public garden in town that had a datura plant.
If I recall correctly, the fruit had some sort of spikes on it. I think he took between 25 and 50 seeds that are found inside the fruit. He told me he allucinated that his mom had a fishbowl on her head, while she was standing in his hospital room. Take too much and you'll die. |

Precisely. I've only used it twice. Both for awake emergency trachs. Back in the dark ages, I may or may not have been familiar with a combo of IM droperidol & scop for nausea & general brain scrambling properties. There have been lots of unstable major traumas where the only anesthetic someone could survive was gallons of blood, epinephrine, and scopolamine. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
