I don't know why I didn't think of you guys sooner. I found this spider and have never seen one like it.

It is sitting on the end of a BIC pen. I cropped the picture for the bandwidth impaired.

Thanks guys.

Sorry man.  My spider can run 30MPH and isn't afraid of you.  He'll run up your legs and devour your face before you can even say "Oh shit!"

And even if you did manage to say it before he ran up your legs, it wouldn't matter.  He'd still eat your face.

The camel spider ALWAYS wins.

Sounds like one mean SOB.  You serious about it eating your face?

I don't have a flame thrower named Spyder or I would have posted it.

Ok, I just looked it up.  Mean SOB, I'm French and I give up!

Well, there have been some reports (though certainly not scientific) of camel spiders in Saudi Arabia biting a GI's face while he slept.  Here's a link that has a scary story.

As far as I am concerned, any creature with the cahones to chase down a Marine and bite his face deserves a wide fuggin' berth, if you know what I mean.

Nah, I'm not really French but I do give up.  I hope I never end up in that wretched desert setting though.

Wonder if a mean ass honey badger could kick his ass if they met?  I do realize they probably wouldn't be in each others natural territory.  Though I'll look at their respective ranges.

I'd be worried if I were you, Gloftoe...

There are some species of camel spiders that live from Texas on out to California.  Those particular ones can get pretty big...

Sleeping just makes you an easier target!
