I just wanted to post a "Thanks" to the good LEOs here for the job they do. I know it is tough, but it IS appreciated.
Be safe, legrue |

Yes.
Let's be careful out there. Let's do it to them before they do it to us. |
|
I'm in for this, as always. Some of us do appreciate your efforts. [:)]

Thank you ladies and gentlemn for the jobs you chose to do.
Now please stop looking at my inspection sticker. |
|
Thanks go out to all the LEO's who do their job with pride. Just rember to show a decent amount of repect for us "civillians" and we'll support you.
I hate to see all cops getting such bad publicity, but it just seems to be getting worse. |
|
I'd gladly give appreciation when I see in person that it is earned. That day has yet to come for me though.

Yeah but somewhere around the age of 8 I developed a mind of my own.

Let's get this thread back on the right track.
Thanks to the LEO's out there for watching out for our communities. And with that also a moment of silence for those that paid the ultimate sacrafice since it happened in my hometown recently. [usa] |

I would like to thank Officer Jones of the Seattle Police Department for his flattery when he ticketed me. It was really sweet of you to ask for my phone number, honey, but you're just not my type. I wish you luck with your next traffic stop, though!

Couldn't pay me enough to walk The Thin Blue Line.... Thanks all for your dedication to the cause. Sure wish you could figure out a way to weed out those that tarnish your profession.

Thanks all LEO's for doing a tough, generally thankless job that pays about half of what it should.

I just want to say thanks to the LEO that stopped by my house last month to tell me that the guy that burned my neighbors house down almost 5 years ago was released. I was the one that "identified" the guy.
He really didn't have to do that. |

All of us here, have a lot in common and would get along just fine in person also. I refuse to let the bad apples cast a dim light on what I choose to do for a living. Cpl. Gota put in my .02
I deal with Law Enforcement officers on an almost daily basis local, county, state and federal. Nearly all are very profesional dedicated people who do a great job in difficut and often dangerous enviornments. My hats off to all of them. |

Sunday is the annual Pig Roast (he he) that a friend of mine who is a cop puts on every year. What a great time. His buddies from work are the nicest bunch of guys to drink and fart around with.
It may be different in a big city- but altho we have a bad apple or two locally like everywhere-all the cops I know in my town are good guys. |
|
I would like to thank the officer that came to my house last year at 10 in the evening and informed us and all the neighbors that a rape had occured during a home invasion breakin in our neighborhood and that the rapist had not been caught.
The officer put us on alert because the scumbag was extremly brasion and bold in his attack. Whats so remarkable about this is the fact that when i called the dept. to thank them they told me the officer was off duty as were the other 6 officers that did this on their own time. And thanks to all the LEO's who do a hard and sometimes thankless job. |

Guys, ya'll are welcome!! Thanks to all of you for saying so!!
It is a strange profession but I do love it. Closed about 15 Auto B&Es today by arrest. Returned alot of people's stuff (including a SWEET USP .45, btw. I need one of those...), put a shit head in jail... Made a bunch of folks happy. One of the good days! By the end of the month I feel I will bring some closure to a really great family whose daughter is missing and certainly murdered. A true menace will go to jail for the rest of his life for it. That will be another great day. Been working on this one for 8 long months... Good days come pretty regularly, I am happy to say! To all the assholes who want to pigeon hole me and the others for the simple fact that we wear a badge... You can kiss my lilly white A$$! I ain't talking about the cheek either! |

Well, let me tell you all about a few good cops:When my old man had a severe heart attack, two LASD deputies showed up within moments of the call, and seeing the situation, IMMEDIATELY began CPR and continued until the EMTs arrived. Sadly, my father died 5 years later, but because of those 2 cops, he had 5 years of life he otherwise would not have had. Thanks, fellas.

Straight cops are cool.
I personally have a good experience ever time I've ever dealt with the police. I show them respect, and I get respect back. |

Imbroglio, I knew exactly who you were talking about when you quoted those lines. [:)] I would like to thank all of you for saying such kind words. When I was working uniform (narcotics now) I will never forget the couple of times I got a "Thank You" card delivered to me at the station. Narcotics work hardly ever yields a "thanks." Simple words of someone saying "Thank You" means more to me than most people can realize. I don't do the job for the thanks. What I believe in and always tell people.....I know I can't change the world, but I can sure as hell try and make a difference. To all my Brother and Sister Officers......Let's be careful out there. medcop |

It's a supermans job most couldn't handle, I say give credit where credit is due, and be slow to criticize until to all the facts are in.
We might not need a cop to take care of ourselves, but a father, mother, sister, brother, wife or child at some point may. The next time your out driving wave at a passing cop, I always do, in these uncertain times you just never know when you might need him. Am-O-Tramp edited with glasses on this time. |
