This thread is useless without pics or at least some details!

hahaha...didn't know whether you guys cared about the details of the house or not.

It's a 4/2, single story.  ~2600 sq ft, with a big yard (for this area) and 4 mature oak trees in back.  We wanted a nice yard, and so we feel pretty lucky that we found this one.  The seller bought it as an investment property, and cleaned it up a bit, but is losing money on it according to their realtor.  Updated kitchen, and semi custom wood trim reminded me of the homes I was more used to when I lived up north.  It's at the top end of our budget, but has the yard size that we wanted, as well as room to grow (we're trying to make little 444shooters right now,) and the neighborhood is nice and quiet.  It's close to exemplary schools, which is also a big plus, since "she who shall not be photographed" as I have dubbed her, is a teacher in a title 1 school, and I hear all the horror stories about what goes on there.

It's the biggest thing to happen since I got married, so I wanted to share with y'all.

Wow...great rate!  We got locked in at 4% even, and no points.  Gonna try to make those extra payments every year, too––might get this 30yr loan down to 20yr or so.

Nothing wrong with the tax assessors office thinking you're poor and you paying next to nothing in property taxes on a mobile home.  Sometimes I miss mine.

Been thinking about it myself tired of apt and there are some real nice deals out there. My dad disagrees and thinks its a terrible idea waste of money, too much taxes etc etc. good thing I stopped listening to him years ago
