Know more than a dozen folks get caught over 100, no time at all, includeing evading (Cops lost sight of him). |

Lawyer was fine. While the prosecutor wanted my head on a pike, the judge didn't throw out his judgement. Seemed like he was thinking about it forever. I was looking at a much longer jail experience. Aside from the suspension, I think I got lucky.
Sitting in the car now with the wife driving to the gym...weekend jail can't be any scarier lol :D! Quoted:

In VA anything over 80 is a misdemeanor. So, if the speed limit on the interstate is 70 mph, don't go 81 mph thinking you'll only get popped for "11 over". |

Is there a probation period after the community service? Did you check with your atty to make sure the misdemeanor doesn't prohibit your firearms ownership?
