This blogger is claiming that he's been invited by the Taliban to negotiate for the release of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. My opinion of Michael Yon isn't very high, due to his tendancy to personally attack anyone that disagrees with him.  But I'm interested in what others have to say about him. Fan? Not a fan? Why?

Yon has become more cuckoo for cocoa puffs over the past few years.

Some SF guys said that a lot of his "facts" were wrong (medevac birds taking too long) or unnecessary (graphic descriptions of a specific soldier's wounds).  Yon got offended and went into this rant about how he knew the specific SF guys were responsible for murders in Iraq, but he had kept it quiet, and now he was gonna reveal it.  It was very odd.
