A/C repair guy just showed up to figure out why I don't have any cold air. Turns out the dog bent/kinked one of the copper tubes connected to my compressor outside and all my freon (well, ok 410a refrigerant) floated away at some point.
Service call, welding fix and new refrigerant was $400. I offered the dog in exchange for the work, but the guys said they only work for money, not retarded canines. But at least it's now cool in the house! |

You may want to call the vet to see if the dog digested any of the coolant.

Wrap insulation around the pipe and then cover that with some thin galvanized flex pipe. Split it down one side and zip tie it on.
Shit be armored, yo. |
|
You sure it was the dog and not someone stealing your freon to get high?
|

You're already running AC? Damn I'm a cheap bastard I just have all the windows open.

Mine is foing to have me pull all the carpet out of the house and have tile put in. I can't wait to see that bill.
Did I win? |

My dog did something similar, she would chew on the lines going into the house and she eventually made it throught he insulation and electrical wires. Luckily the lines themselves were alright but I had to splice in a new wire. I then wrapped the tubing and wire in galvanized tubing with chicken wire around that. If she can chew through that stuff we have bigger problems.......

GM Well, ok, it really hasn't been that bad lately, but it warmed up last week and I flipped on the A/C to cool down a bit and noticed it was pushing warm air. I figured I'd rather get the work done now, before the A/C guys were really busy. I'm enjoying the cold house now, but will have to turn it off and let it warm up once the wife gets home. |

Not to mention making a hole on the high side while pressurized and your neighbors a few doors down will hear it. Dog will d-ass the area in a hurry. |

Why did the dog have a leash on if not connected to you as well
