Yep let me be the first....my service was a whole eight and one-half weeks---that's right only basic training..so don't thank me. But for everyone who has walked the walk and worn the uniform--HERE'S to You---thank you from the bottom of my heart for making sure that I could sleep peaceful at night because somewhere you
were on a wall looking out for bad guys..
Veteran's day is everyday, you earned it...

Hey Lord can you get me a zippo with my Ships emblem on it? USS Suribachi AE-21 (FIRST of her class, best of her class)--she was decommissioned after the Gulf war. I know you have connections.....

Yeah! I sold my Belleau Wood zippos in Thailand for about a gazillion baht thinking I could just buy another.
Everyone else did the same thing though.

Man oh man, Thailand, Ko Phan Gan...aie yie yiii, the ladies, the wine, the song...my pop first went to Bangkok in 1968, told me the stories from the "good ole days" man those were the good old days....
