Didnt read the article yet..but if a kidnapper had your child and you wanted the info as to where your child was...would you want to wait for him to pick out a public defender?...so at least in this case I would approve of interogation without access to counsel...but this is an exadurated case but an acception I think most would approve of depends on how the exception to the rule is used or abused I guess
