www.springfieldarmory.com/prod-pstl-1911-fs.shtml for springfields fullsize 9mm, they also make a compact.

I think hardballer means it only feeds hardball, but I could be wrong.

AMT made a 1911 clone called the Hardballer. You may have also heard of the Hardballer Longslide, with a 7" barrel. Kinda made famous in the first Terminator movie...

AMT was bought out by Gelena Industries, who I think is making the Hardballer again.

Here's a (Low-Res) pic of mine, with a comp:

Here it is without the comp:

Mine's a .45, though.

The Star Mod. B is a S-W-E-E-T! 9MM 1911 style pistol, and you can find them really cheap.

AWESOME gun.

im thinking about a few pistols. 3 to be exact.  a .22 (walther maybe) a 9mm and a .45. i like 1911. and i would like a compact glock. i could get a 1911 in 9mm for shooting(cheaper ammo) and a glock 36 for carry later on. or i coulkd go vise versa with a traditional 1911 and a compact glock 9mm. i want to get these pistols so if some horrid legeslation is passed by mt 21st, i will have a varity of conventional handguns ( without on board safty computers and electronics)

RE: 9mm 1911?  I love the 9mm 1911's, esp. the LW version by Springfield Armory!!!  ... reliable ... accurate ... cheap to shoot - easy to reload - less recoil (than .45 or 9x23).

For a real keeper, I would recommend getting a supported barrel (std. w/LW Springfield) for more reliable feeding.  And get GOOD mags from the start!

I have shot 100,000+ rds. of 9mm's and 90% has been thru Springfield 1911's.  With a good, properly fit barrel, they are very reliable and very accurate.

Only other 1911 I want is a Springfield LW 9mm Compact w/SS slide.

Hope you find and enjoy!      John in MT
