if you have something like a taurus judge, and shoot all the rifling out, does it become an AOW because it's a smoothbore pistol?

how about the circuit judge revolver-rifle .45/.410? if it had a 16 inch barrel and you shot all the rifling out, would it become a shortbarreled shotgun?

If you intentionally removed the rifling - yes.  If you're just shooting it, you'll be @ your chiropractor's or having carpal tunnel surgery before you wear out the rifling.
