Are there any accounts of  1st Div Marines who participated in all 4 battles:

Battle of Guadalcanal
Battle of Cape Gloucester
Battle of Peleliu
Battle of Okinawa

On the series there isn't a character that does (which doesn't mean there not any).

About Marines in the Pacific Theater. Not the Corps, but about Marines. The author (who was himself a Marine) interviews different people, from different parts/eras/theaters of WWII.

I thought it was very good.

The USMC had a replacement system in which it rotated guys out and in. While there were certainly Marines that served in all four campaigns they may not have done it with 1st MarDiv.
