The range during daylight looking towards the 400 yard oxygen tank.(it is way out there just where the treelines come together the closest!) The wiggy's were banging the tank with the AR10!

I don't even think I saw that when I was actually there!

The tank was painted orange but was still way hard to see!

The dirt was orange....

by the way-- can I spray WD40 in my door latches, door handles, etc????? If not, what can I spray into these spots to get the dirt out?

I saw it but I was much closer to it....to those that weren't there....that looks like plowed dirt...it ain't, it is the sandiest, loosest, foot trapping, dry quick sand in the world....

Good to know that the Wiggies made it home safe. Hope the trip back was enjoyable.

That field was disced about two-three weeks ago.  No rain since.  It was a bear to even walk across.  One foot deep in most places.

I can only iamgine how hard it was for the HFVFD to run across it for 200+ yards.

The entire field was probably 550-600 yards across.

The wiggy762 mobile. Look how red my face is... we had just finished the plate shoot.

We had to wait out in the blazing sun for hours befor the drinking lamp was lit!!

We had to pixelate a face to protect the innocent. Hun would refer to his book rarely but when he did it was usually to comment on TRG's BS factor!!

Tate, this was before you had the two ties and had to trudge out to reset the plates. I think you lost a bunch of weight just doing that.

This was the slum area of camper sites. All of the cool campers stayed up closer to the cabin.

This was the tent prior to the SHORT ROUND. Thanks and apologies to Tate's father-in-law

Shooting tracers with a huge exposure time, kinda lost the shooter there.

The firework pictures.

Fireworks make poor parabolic projectiles.

One of the few launched correctly,

Another with a longer exposure, also launched up.

The result of a correct launch angle.

Just the beginning of a big hot propane fireball.

The best we can figure is that this bottle was puntured low and at an angle because it really became airborne! The more sane spectators were above the line by the cabin and this errant rocket almost parted mojo's hair!

Another one beginning combustion.

We never heard a Herky Bird so we are assuming that the tracers were outbound.

Throwing exploding starbursts can cause Vietnam flash backs as this one began to look like a cluster bomb was going off.

Another correct explsion at altitude....or so.

What can we say....obviously inferior Chicom firework quality assurance.

Lol

Poor Energizer, in most cases, WD40 seems to work fine on all moving parts, especially door hinges and what not. A little toothpick, old tweezer, and qtips also help push the gunk out after you spray it. Don't be afraid to apply generously. Best of all, it kills the squeaks.

Great pictures!

You know, about that short round...  I had put my weapons up early that day, and began conversing with my friend Jim...Jim Beam, around 2pm.

When that first round came in (around 8:30), Jim and I thought it was seriously amusing.

When the second came in, Jim and I decided to get to high ground...FAST!  We thought we were going to see the first:

HunFunSunGunFight.

If you guys had launched a third, man, there would have been some real fireworks!

The firework that will live in Infamy!

You need to meet 1GUNRUNNER wiggy762, the two of you together would be like gasoline and a match.  If you both show up in October, I would recommend having bail money handy.  You two will need it!

Fire one more firework...then taper off!

I don't think the sand under the wheels was the problem, it was that load of out of shape rednecks in the back it was hauling...

My Jeep would have made it, but that orange dirt is jamming up the door handles!!! and riding through that deep of dirt would have definately caused more jamming when the wheels throw it all over the place... AHHH!!!! We should just get those little 4-wheelers, like that yellow Suzuki that Bunghole had (I think it was his...).

Looks like you had much fun.

You are correct, sir.  The fat boy was tuckered! [:D]

edited to add - It was warm enough that I lost most of my appetite during the shoot - all I wanted was Powerade, water, and shade!

Ditto on that Tate, I actually took beer home!

That 400 yarder was no problem with an AR-10(T) and a high powered Leopold, he, he [sniper]

Thanks for the pics guys.  I left my camera in the bag all weekend like an idiot.  I guess I was so wrapped up in everything else, I just forgot.  I wished I hadn't  [:(!].  Anybody get pics of the propane bottles on fri night?
