SEATTLE – A man was in jail Sunday after leading police on a high speed chase for more than 130 miles from Wenatchee to Seattle.

The chase began Saturday when Washington State Police Troopers in Wenatchee tried to pull the driver over for allegedly driving 87 mph in a 60 mph zone. The suspect refused to stop and as many as eight troopers followed the car at speeds of up to 100 mph. The chase ended near Safeco Field in Seattle when the driver became stuck in traffic for a Mariner's game.

When police arrested the man they found he had an [b]arsenal of assault weapons, more than 100 rounds of ammunition and a police scanner in his car.[/b] He faces numerous charges.

There were no reports of injuries.

Lets write them a letter explaining to them what the true definition "assault weapon" really is. I'm sick of peopel calling semi's assault weapons.

Too bad this idiot wasn't the one that lost his feet trying to cross the tracks by SafeCo Field.  I have absolutely no sympathy for assholes that endanger the public by attempting to elude the police.

That was exactly my point.  And, in this case, I can say, "Do as I do, not just what I say."

This afternoon, I was informed by my former roommates that the St. Louis County Police were looking for me at their house the day before yesterday, and They Were Not Friendly.  Since I haven't had a parking ticket in 12 years, I was a little baffled, especially seeing that I work for the security firm contracted directly to the Airport Police, and they are deputized by the county.  I've had county and federal records checks up the wazoo in the past month, and nothing came up.

I STILL called the County Police and asked them if they needed to see me.  I was advised that I had no wants or warrants, so I'll check with the Sheriff's Department tomorrow to see if it's a subpoena or writ.  I tried to call them today, but just got their machine.

Running from the police can KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE.  Knowingly taking that risk makes you a bona fide piece of dog shit, in my book.  I've been arrested, beaten and treated like a criminal, and lost my firearms the one time that I risked my life to save a stranger because the police were misled by the perpetrator.  That did NOT give me the right to take the life of another stranger.

The press gets it wrong, and I'm sure that if my inquiry had resulted in my arrest, it would have made the news.  The people that know me would have made it right, but why run?
