Basically, the way I understand, The Crime control act of 1994 sunsets (expires) 10 years from enactment. Congress would have to vote on an extension, pass the bill, and the president would have to sign it. It is very likely that it will [b]NOT[/b] expire. [:(] Milldude

That is correct, it is supposed to sunset 10 years after enactment, supposedly so that they can just let it expire if it hasn't done any good. However, the chances of it being allowed to expire in an election year are slim to none.
