It's only 2000 and I can look right at the sun, without a cloud in the sky.  It's dark orange from all the ash and soot, I assume from the wildfires.  

The moonrise is amazing too, almost red.

I'll have to check out the moon tonight.  

You know that large amounts of pollen in the air make the moon look orange/red also.  It is that time of the year.

You ought to try living here...cough...cough...cough

I'll bet you've got some really awesome sunsets. I grew up in Nebr. and the sunsets could be awe inspiring.

In the mountainous regions the sun sets too quickly and you just don't get those great sunsets. I really miss them.
