If it's the Lauer thread, it was moved to the mod forum, until LCW, DVD Tracker, and FMJunkie can hopefully resolve their situation. That's all.

Nothing to worry about unless DVD Tracker and FMJunkie (who are the ones with the issues) say otherwise. Right now it's being brought to Lauer's attention, since the threads were posted before Lauer was contacted about the mess ups. I believe ar15.com is giving them a chance to rectify it before it gets out of hand, which I think is fair. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas. |

I'm usually very laid back and only post when I feel I can contribute something positive/insightful. Although this thread is not positive, it sure is insightful! |

Such righteous indignation over something that doesn't even concern you is laughable. Do you have a right to know about it? Sure, but I think it only fair that Lauer be contacted before anyone goes off half cocked. That happens to be the reason why the original threads were moved to the Moderator forum and the subsequent post was locked. And if you read the post then I'm sure you saw the part where Striker said he got e-mail from either FMJunkie or DVD Tracker (he didn't specify which one) that indicates that they agreed with him moving the thread for the time being. This is an issue where Lauer hasn't been contacted about the issues and that is being remedied. Simply put, the reason the threads were moved was because it's unfair for Lauer to get bad press when they don't even know there's an issue. Do you understand that? If they don't fix the issue after being notified then all is fair. Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but this stinks! I'm usually very laid back and only post when I feel I can contribute something positive/insightful. Although this thread is not positive, it sure is insightful! You are making a mountain out of a mole hill. If Lauer doesn't fix the problem [b]after[/b] they've been notified, then feel free to crucify them. Until then, I'd advise switching to decaf. I can understand moving this thread, particularly if the customers involved aren't upset about it being moved. I think these were probably posted last night after Lauer was closed-I'd hate to own a business and come into work with 12 hours of posts to threads regarding my work before I was aware of the problem and had a chance to straighten it out. I've dealt with Lauer and they seem like great guys-I'd bet money they will take care of everything to the customers' satisfaction.

As I stated in the thread that I locked which is still in the GD forum if you care to do a search, the original 2 threads were moved to the Mod forum to prevent Lauer Custom from being "attacked" here without a chance to defend themselves. And considering the 2 authors of the threads have been contacted and agreed to the threads being moved temporarily until they have contacted Lauer Custom, the issue of them being moved is over. Must be nice to have a 'big brother' to referee for you. What's "fair" about that? And Louis Freeh had Janet Reno! Correct me if I'm wrong but in order to have a referee you need 2 teams. Which is the issue here. Lauer Custom isn't here to defend themselves which they shouldn't have to do anyway considering they problems are with 2 individuals..not the 20 000+ members of AR15.com. FMJunkie and DVDTracker are as good of guys as can be found on this Board, but I don't understand posting here before even contacting Lauer CW. This makes no sense to me. Coming here first is not fair or smart, and if it was temporarily halted by the Mods, with permission of the involved parties, per Striker's post, then why piss and moan about it? Censorship? Please! LCW has shown themselves to be GREAT friends of this Board, and good business men. Give them a chance to take care of this. This is a tempest in a teakettle for all but FMJ and DVDT. Relax, please. |

In FMJunkie's case, the error was pointed out to him while he was posting pics of the finish on his AR10, which looked really good except for the flaw. Some of the board members noticed something odd and pointed it out to him, which is when he realized there was a problem. So, he didn't actually do any complaining. He was just showing off his new toy and the flaw was noticed, and then everyone started to chime in. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas... |

Thanks for all the replies here both good and bad, but as I stated in the other thread I locked..this is what we are trying to avoid. Discussing something that doesn't concern any of us. I'm going to lock this one as well and once again ask that no more threads be started concerning Lauer Custom until they have a chance to respond to DVDTracker and FMJunkie.
