I used a Linksys WRT54G for a couple years, recently got a Linksys E1000.

Both work great.

Should be able to find E1000s cheap. Linksys discontinued them. I got mine for $60 during Newegg's Black Friday sales. They have recerted ones for $28 right now. Can probably be found on closeout somewhere.

E3200 at Bestbuy.  Best bang for the buck.  It's gigabit, and has 2x 300Mb wireless

Have owned several, Cisco Linksys was the only one that worked out of the box with no headache from the get go.

Just make sure it used "N" technology.  "B" and "G" are too slow...

Not true. See my previous post about using a WRT54G for several years. HD video streamed just fine over it.

Although there really is no reason NOT to get an N router.

I use a Dlink DGL-4500(dual-band 802.11n), but it is overkill since my 1 year old PS3 still only came with a 802.11g wireless adapter. I still get good reception and performance with Netflix, since the router is in the same room.
