I ran into Walmart today to pick up some stuff to make lunch. It was a bit warm out so I left my coat in the car, this put me into open carry mode. I walked into to the store, got a shopping cart and proceeded to get my items. Once I had everything I needed I went to the checkout lanes. The cashier rang everything and I paid and then left the store.
During this adventure in the jungle known as Walmart, not once did I need to draw down, blade at 45 degrees, dump massive amounts of adrenaline, or yell "You will not touch my weapon". Sorry if this disappoints anyone.

Depending on how you were dressed and acted, people probably thought you were a cop.

I'm pretty sure it's still welfare time around here...I stopped at the grocery store yesterday to get some sour cream and it was like a weird after church scene with folks just standing around in groups BSing while kids ran around the aisles sucking down pop and candy

There is no fucking way I'm going to a walmart right now

Well, this DOES disappoint!

I was hoping that at least your brain would have screamed "Disengage!"

I live in Massachusetts (I know ) and you don't need an escort to the exit, you do have to pay at the sporting goods department though but they toss it in a bag and off you go. Where is this at?

I've never been bothered about open carry in 10 years of occasional open carry across the SW portion of VA.

Not one of the Fairfax country stores, that's for sure.

*Don't shop at walmart* (carrying or not)
As for open carrying - I personally open carry and support open carrying

Yup.. For me anyway.. Anti-walmart that is . As for open carry - I support it and I myself even open carry.

Do you feel good about paying twice the amount for the exact same products?

I try to find things cheaper.. Walmart's prices can be beaten even though they won't admit it

Isn't it a COC violation to post Walmart stories?

Especially those that don't involve blading at 45, massive adrenaline dumps and yelling?

It's violation to post walmart stories involving the above mention actions without a MS paint image. Since I didn't draw down or anything, no MS paint required.

I went tonight..
due to it being the first of the month, it was no fun..
a tweaked out meth head with mascara all down her face comes up and gets about an inch off my ass..
I turn around and look at her,  she says "I only have one thing I need to do at the register",  cashing a check or something,  I had saw her earlier trying her luck at another register.
She expected me to let her go ahead of me. I just turned back around like she hadnt spoken..
It was a rough looking crowd there.  More than usual..
There were alot of stinkers also.  You know the ones that smell like they have had poop in their drawers for about 3 days...
I was glad to get out of there..
