And "foreign policy" is tantamount to understanding global threats and protecting the American people from them; therefore, the man is unqualified to be our president. Given this undeniable flaw, I'm at a complete loss as to why he has any followers...

Then saying things like "I'd rather not have their votes," as has been stated, and "His supporters are idiot pot heads" likely isn't the best course of action. the GOP isn't going to lose because pot heads voted for Ron Paul. Pot heads are generally liberal. The GOP is going to lose because they have shifted their focus far and way from what a big chunk of their base want.

When Ron retires they'll have just as big a hard on for Rand as they did for Ron. My hopes is that Rand has more sense than Ron. Of course Ron didn't exactly set the bar very high for sense so there's a good chance of it happening.
