I got some money for Christmas and my birthday and it is burning a hole in my pocket.  I've got about $300 and I want to put the money towards a new gun, but I can't decide what to buy.  Currently my "armory" is thin with

2-12 gauges for hunting, a Marlin .22 a M&p 15-22, and a M&P 40c.

I am interested in

Ruger SR1911
a $600-$900 price range AR in .223
Kel-Tec Sub 200 in 9mm with 30 round glock magazines
Ruger LC9
Ruger LCR 357
Ruger SP101in .357
Rock Island or similar 1911 (but really thinking just spend the extra money on the Ruger)

I've wanted an AR and a 1911 for years but the Sub-2000 would be a lot of fun and inexpensive to shoot.  I also would like a small concealed gun like the LC9 and LCR.  The SP101 is a new interest of mine after holding one in a gun store recently.  I guess with the Sr 1911 and AR I have to throw some additional money at it, but the LC9's and LCR's around here aren't running much over $300 while I've seen the Sub 2000 online for near $300.

Anyway, just wanted to get opinions.  I know that everyone will have a different opinion, but this is my wishlist for now.  I'm open to suggestions.

Sorry I couldn't figure out how to make a poll, maybe my membership isn't high enough.

You need an AR15, a .308 battle rifle and plenty of ammo and mags.

I would say get one of these.  Decide on one and accomplish it, then go to the other.

Yes he could get an AK but it wasn't on his list, plus he has the .22LR MP-15 already with the same controls.
Don't tell the guys on AK47.net but my AR's outnumber my AK's in the safe

OP I say if you are happy with the M&P .40 as a CCW work on getting a rifle.

I am just scared of buying an AK because there are so many crappy ones out there.  But wouldn't be against it either.  Although I think I'd like the AK-74
