"I've got two guns in my hand - is it OK to shoot him if he comes in this door? I'm here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?" - Sarah McKinley, talking to a 911 dispatcher when two men broke in her home. The woman hid out in a room, and when one of the intruders barged in, McKinley shot him to death. Police called the shooting justified.

Give it a rest, guys. (the guys who keep asking this question, I mean) The girl is 18 years old, has a newborn baby, and lost her husband to cancer a week earlier. Taking another life in self-defense is probably not something she's given a lot of thought to in her life. It's a huge decision to pull the trigger on another person... her instincts were excellent, and I think the voice on the other end was probably just reassurance for her.
Of course you don't NEED to ask. She just happened to have the question come out of her mouth when she was in a moment of extreme duress.

She's an 18 year old ,with a 3 month old baby, who just buried her husband and was facing 2 armed intruders bent on doing her harm. I'd say she kept a pretty clear head. Is she supposed to be able to quote chapter and verse the Oklahoma statute?
