At least he doesn't call for drinking his own piss in every episode. |

Could you expand on this? |

Easily in my top 5 television shows, hope the new episodes are carried on Netflix streaming.

The wife and I love Survivorman. Can't wait to see it on again.

Peoples minds will play tricks on them when they are alone and in the wilderness. I wonder if he carries a firearm when he is out in the woods by himself? |

I figured he'd run out of money eventually and start doing episodes again. I like them and I'll look forward to watching.

Does this mean the end of that other lame show he was doing? I dig survivorman but that new one was

I'm looking forward to this. Yep. Always a good watch. |

Hope he knocks it off with that savoring the edible delights of the wild routine he does.

"les stroud coming back, better drink more piss" Someone type that into the pic. I love these. |

Glad to read this. He has stated in the past that the series is very hard on him physically - with repetitive serious weight loss, related illnesses he picks up in odd locales and the cumulative physical impact it has on his body and health.

Survivorman has real substance, a trait that lacks in most shows today. I don't feel like I'm wasting my time watching it, even though I probably am!

If I recall correctly, his new show isn't going to be on the Discovery Channel, but rather the Disovery-Related-But-You-Don't-Get-This-Channel-In-Your-Cable-Lineup channel. |

I watched a few Survivorman episodes years ago then kind of lost interest. However I've watched "Dual Survivor" and "Man Woman Wild" since my wife kind of likes those. Obviously those two shows are shot with a film crew are are somewhat orchestrated, unlike Les' "I'll carry 50 pounds of camera equipment into the wilderness and maybe you won't see me again" hardcore near insanity.
That said watching a couple of Survivorman episodes it seems like some times he doesn't do much for the first couple of days. Often he makes no attempt (that we see) to build a shelter or find food or water until the third day. My wife's theory is that he's so used to doing this stuff he knows a few days without food and water won't bother him so he doesn't feel he needs to bother right away. I think in a real emergency you would immediately be seeking shelter, water and fire because unlike Les, you aren't Les Stroud and knew you could A go without food and water for a couple of days and B that you had a definite end date when you would either leave or be found, The last few Survivorman episodes I saw before it went to repeats poor Les looked pretty beat down and kind of scared. I hope he's not going to get himself into trouble pushing it further to ten days. I don't mean to be critical of Les, he's hardcore and paved the way for the other "reality/unreality" show people to get their shows on the air. I do think his show drags out a little more than the other two and you're probably more likely to learn something different each week from Mike "Hawke" (I forget his real name) |

Looking forward to this....would also love to see a follow up to his Off The Grid show about moving to the middle of nowhere.

One thing I could never understand about the other guy, bear grills or whatever is his penchant for eating raw food as he was sitting next to a fire. Why not at least singe the fur or scales of or something.

Les is good for one simple reason when he makes a mistake he admits it and explains what he should have done differently.
