Just got an offer for 2 palets (190) ammo cans for $210. No ammunition inside, but not really sure how much a ammo can by itself costs. Any opinions?

$1.11/can=meh, I suppose that's alright.  I know a place down the street you can get 'em for 80 cents all day.

Same here...if you know where to look. A certain "Outlet" store here tries to sell them for $7+.

BIG factor is the condition.

Beat and rusty, questionable seals?  Pass.

A good gunshow price is $8 for a good condition .50 cal can around here.

But, at the store it's way more.

Snag.

Absolute WORST case, you got Christmas gifts to hand out to people for the rest of your life.

Depending on what types, they should be between $4 to $8 a piece.  Retail should only be a couple dollars more but it usually doesn't work like that.

Around here they go for $7-$10.
I believe there is a guy up in Gainesville that buys up mass quantities and sells em for a fiver.
Always has posts advertising on CL.

I will, but will have to be later. Do not have access to photobucket from my work network.

OK. Guess I was wrong. it is 230 for $210. Guess I will keep my eye on it and see if the price goes any higher. If it stays low, I think I will get them. Maybe even hook some of you up with a few.

Have no idea what that should mean. I would say on a scale from 1 (worst) to 10 (best), most are 7.

Very.

With lids or without?

If without, not worth it.

If with, probably worth it, depending on how far you have to drive to get them.

Sounds like someone got cold feet on a GL win...

Get a table at a gun show for a weekend, sell them all at $10 each and blow them out on Sunday at $7 and you'll go home empty handed but your pockets will be full

If they are in good shape, that's a deal.  You can resell them on Ebay, Gunbroker, or Armslist.

Here's one on ebay.
