So my girlfriend is finally starting to realize that I have BRD..
She fully supports shooting and loves it herself.
She asked why I keep buying things for my rifle even thought it's 'finished'.
I tryed to explain how I feel driven to continually improve, but she doesn't get what I mean.
What is the reasoning you guys use?

No woman in my life so no justification needed.

She's your GF not your spouse.   Now's the perfect moment to set boundaries and let her know what kind of crap you won't take about your gun hobby.  It will make things SO much better later if you ever get married.

I tell her, "Mind your own, or do you want me to check your JC Penny credit card account."

If that doesn't work, I just fake a seizure.

My GF likes her Tiffany's and Coach, I buy her those for her b-day, x-mas...whenever a gift giving situation is present. If you do, it will work out for you in the end.

This x-mas I got gifts that had terms like Magpul, Larue, and Troy...it was GREAT!

I simply told my GF that its my hobby and I enjoy it.

Apparently that was good enough of an explanation for her and that as long as I'm hurting financially she didn't care.

Shes a keeper.

wait till you reach stage 4 BRD, thats when you keep buying the damn things, and as soon as you get it and shoot it, you need a new one.  Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

It is my hobby, and I will spend my money on my hobby as I please . if she doesn't get it, break it off before you end up doing something you'll regret (selling your rifle(s) and/or gear)

Once you hit a certain critical mass of rifles, optics, reloading crap, etc, most women won't realize you've gotten a new toy unless you flat out tell them.

Think about it; do you have a running mental inventory of all your gal's shoes?

Anyway, the only ones I've been really involved with knew full well the extent of my BRD symptoms before we got serious.

My girlfriend never says shit about anything I buy, why because she is my girlfriend not my spouse. If we ever do get married we have an agreement that I can buy as many guns as I want as long as I don't complain about her buying shoes. Works for me, considering most of my guns are worth 10x what one pair of her shoes are worth.

I think u guys took this the wrong way. she fully supports my hobby and enjoys shooting herself. i guess she is just like my father in regards that as soon as i get it all put together, it's done.
dad had a gun that has the same old p.o.s. scope and bipod on it, even though we have spares that are way better.
he's more of a purist.

And as requested, pic of the gf.

best skill i ever taught her

Me showin her what's up.

and the rifle as it sits now.
