I'm paranoid and hate large crowds. I took the wife to a Gordon Lightfoot concert last month. The venue held about 300 and I was packing.

Sammy is 64 years old and Dave is 57.

Yet Sammy can still sing his ass off and hit alot of the high notes. Dave can't.

Dave was awesome in the 70's and 80's, and alot of those Dave-era songs are timeless classics, but a Van Halen without
Michael Anthony and with Dave only at half speed doesn't appeal to me.

I saw them on their last tour, Eddie is worth the price of the ticket. Sammy Hagar couldnt sell out the local bar anymore playing solo or with his shitty "chickenfoot" line-up. When Hagar appeared here on the 4th of July there were maybe 500 people. Van Halen will sell out every show on their tour.

Wolfgang is twice the bass player Anthony is.

I've got to agree, I've seen Van Halen in concert 4 times, and Van Hagar 4 times, and I've got to say that while Diamond Dave is a great show man, Sammy is by far the better vocalist, and it's to the point now, that I prefer quality over quantity.

I'd pay to go see them in concert in a heartbeat today if Sammy was fronting and his bassist (Chickenfoot), Michael Anthony were to resolve their issues with Eddie.

VH albums are usually great, or at least well played, recorded, and engineered.

But live, I've never yet seen a live cut from them that wasn't sloppy and amateurish. They totally fuck up the timing when playing live,

and are even off pitch way too often.

Some bands are NOT better live.

I think that if they start a tour with DLR, they'll finish it with DLR. By now they've figured out that they can set aside their differences when

there's so much money at stake. They've figured out when it's time to leave each other alone.

I've seen them countless times with both Dave and Sammy fronting the band and each time they were sloppy as shit. I don't expect (or want) a concert to sound like the fucking radio but there are entire Van Halen songs that don't even sound recognizable when played live.

Seen them multiple times. From a guitarists perspective, 5150 Tour was the cleanest performance. Yes, they are sloppy live, EVH plays like he's on meth most times. Damn if he doesn't kick ass though.
