Anyone who can get into the actual board code can read the IMs.
I know this from a now defunct board, the owner showed me what the IMs were saying. If they can get into the guts of the board code, they can read your IMs. Moral: Email whatever you don't want the board owner to read. |

Much like your employer can read any e-mail you receive or send on your work computer, the forum owners can read all electronic correspondence carried over their system, I would think. But not a legally binding theorem....

My God, I've sent a number of IM's [b]to[/b] staff and mods. Does that mean they have to read them twice? Sorry to be such a pain. [BD]
Just wondering--what would one say in an IM that a mod or staff member shouldn't read? They're big boys and girls, they can "take it" if we talk about them. Besides, it's more fun if we say it to their face(s). Hehe |

Well, I'm convinced.
All of the IM's are read by the mods then forwarded to the FBI, ATF, and NAACP to boot. |
