I still like the ones that make the most noise. And the ones with the most sparks. And the ones that fly the highest. Are you able to get the "illegal" ones? Ya know, the ones bought from the reservations? Or are you unlucky and live where there are a lot of restrictions and a lot of cops?

BOOM!! BOOM!!

Its gettin close,

Yeah, baby

M-80's and 1/4 sticks are my favorites. The bigger the bang the better.

I remember an episode of Little House on the Prairie where Laura's friend almost got lynched because the town (rumor started by Mrs. Olson) thought he a was terrorist because he owned lots of chemicals and black powder. In the end it turned out that he made fireworks and gave Walnut Grove a nice 4th of July show.

My cousins and I would take out an old wiffle ball bat and have batting practice with Roman Candles

UFO's, Thundering Lightning, M-100's, a full brick of regular firecrackers and jumping jacks.

Piccolo Pete's are great too if you know how to alter them so they fly. Just like the ones above, they can be a fire hazzard.

See, I am not a bad person, but sensitive, caring and very generous.

I used to like those magic snake things, carbide cannons, and all of the neat-o fireworks I used to make that everyone on the block enjoyed. But everything got banned. Now all I can do is sit in front of the T.V. and watch the Macy's Fireworks show.

I wish I could make those death blossoms again.

Aerial bombs...the louder the better...use to go over to Chinatown in NYC when I lived in Jersey to get all the really good stuff...being in Virginia NYC is 6 hours away but it's a small tradeoff I can live with...but I do miss them aerial bombs, in the old neighborhood it use to sound like the B-52s were rolling in [:D]

In my old age, I'm back to ladyfingers. In strings of 1,000 they are a good time.

Simply put, explosives! I used to be able to get "quarter sticks" and larger, but I don't do it any more. Now Tannerite, that's some good fun!! You get to shoot and have loud explosions!

Bottle rockets. Dress up with heavy clothing and use some some spent roman candles for launch tubes. Stand about 50 feet from eachother and have fun!! Be sure to wear safety glasses!!

Speaking of which, I know M-80s, block busters, pineapples, 1/2 sticks etc aren't legal in my home state of Tennessee, but does anyone know if they're legal in VA or NC?

I like to put two gross of bottle rockets in a pole holder, and light them all at once with a torch.  Looks really cool.

I suppose that's "for my own good" to keep me from "blowing my hands off."  *sigh*

I guess I'll just amuse myself with those little 1" mortars black cat sells.
