If you do get one, try going through user makodefense. He took good care of a guy on the EE a while back, and went the extra mile when it wasn't even his deal. He is a registered dealer here.

I had one of their 3x magnifiers, and it was absolute garbage. HTH.

It's okay, But I can hardly tell the difference in magnification between it and my vortex, which is 3.25 X, also the vortex is brighter and takes less space as well.

Maybe garbage is a bit harsh, maybe over priced for it's quality is a better description. I hear that Primary Arms has some decent inexpensive magnifiers. Can't vouch for that though, never used one. ETA: No way in hell I'd pay for a genuine Aimpoint/Eotech magnifier. Way too expensive. |

Friend of mine has a vortex with the magnifier and I liked it very much! I just don't need another sight! I'm running aimpoints on 2 of my AR's and want to QD magnify them. |

I have one sitting behind my Primary Arms M3 red dot, it works great. The glass is clear and you can focus it to get a crisp image from 1x to 5x magnification. Come to think of it it was also purchased from Primary Arms so it may be there own brand. Contact Marshall over there (Primary Arms) he will set you up with a nice rig. I have purchased many products from him with no complaints.

I've got one ,had it for 2 years , It had some ( dirt? ) spots in the lower portion of the view , didn't interfere with anything. I finally took it apart about a month ago and cleaned the lens . It works fine for me , I'm still alive anyway

Yea they have a 6x rig now for $99.00. If you add a flip to the side mount its another $44.00 or so, can't beat that.

I have a vortex and it works well for what it's meant. I'm just not a magnifier guy I think.

Why was it garbage? Some were not sealed and purged. In fact, we could fill them with water by running them under a faucet. The lenses fell out of some, or internal lenses turned, sometimes under recoil, sometimes just from shipping. Magnification was not at all what it should have been. Just comparing them with a quality scope, I could tell that some 5x were more like 3.5x There was debris in some. The problem is that many are very good, and some are very bad, and there is no easy way to tell the difference. We immediately found another manufacturer who would build magnifiers for us an keep to our requirements. Meanwhile, the original factory sold the magnifiers they were making for us to several different companies, and continues to make them. To make the difference obvious, we added a coloured ring to the new magnifiers - if the magnifier has a coloured ring with our name on it, it is from the new production. If it does not, it is from the old production, and may or may not be good. The current production magnifiers have the correct magnification, are nitrogen purged and waterproof/fogproof, and are very sturdy. Keep in mind that our intention for these is to be a sporting/competition or range optic. While they hold up well and we know that soldiers are using them in combat, we do not consider this to be a combat optic. In fact, it is one of only a couple of products that we do not consider to be military-grade products.

By the way, the magnifiers all have a lifetime warranty. Send it back and we will replace it with a new one.
