Can a stainless steel pistol be parkerized? I'm pretty sure Sigs slide are stainless, and I'm pretty sure I've seen a stainless steel Berreta finished.

They can be anodized. they can also be blued, but it's a pain in the a$$ and requires that you aggitate the metal with acid. There's some other interesting finishes out there that kinda resembles parkerizing.
