Above link for 10 motorcycles, American, British, German & Italian.

WW II Victory Museum, Auburn, IN.  If in the area, worth the while to see.  Lots of armor and military vehicles to see along with many bring back tropheys, Patton items, a crewed German 88 etc. etc..

I tried to post individual photos but can't seem to be able to do it for some reason.  So for a teaser I'll load up two to my media files here and post for your pleasure.

I'm rather surprised myself there wasn't a representative sample.  I do like that DKW though.

ETA: for grammar....sigh.

Very good museum. Been a few years since the last visit though, haven't been to my grandma's in Butler since 08 or 09.

Chicks always dig guys on bikes

this is Canadian soldier Don Fife-killed in the last days of WW2 in Europe at age 22. The folks at the WDM20 website have "adopted " him, and have done a lot in remembrance of him-even meeting his surviving relatives.

You raise a good point.  The WW II Victory Museum is housed in a huge building and takes up just one side.  The other side is a Transportation Museum and it covers vehicle of all types from horse drawn to celebrity owned or used, racing to fantasy, even the Fonz's Triumph, John Lennon's 1956 Austin Princess hearse limo used in his video "Imagine" and Danny Devito's rubber duck when he was the Penguin.  Plan to spend the whole day between the above automobile museum and the WW II Victory & Transportation museum.

According to some Russian friends, they allege that the Russians took the BMW motorcycle plant back to the motherland and used it to build the Ural motorcycles. Amazing the difference in the output when the plant changed hands.
