Between 200 and 300 military officers and soldiers, joined by dozens of volunteer fighters that had participated in the successful campaign to unseat Moamer Kadhafi, gather in the Benina air base near Benghazi airport on November 15, 2011 to name a new military chief and relaunch a national army. With many volunteer fighters for the National Transition Council still armed, the attempt ended in quarrelling amid widespread divisions.

Members of Yemen's Central Security Force stand in formation during a weekly drill at their base in Sanaa October 5, 2011. The force is loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh who is struggling against demonstrations against his 33-year rule sparked by the pro-democracy uprisings in the region.

Me either. Do Yemen and Lybia share a common culture or have a lot of interaction? It wouldn't be interesting if one wierdo in Yemen did it. But here it is in two different countries, interesting. Looks like they are using a single MG link. But I thought that Soviet belts were non-disintegrating?

It sorta strikes me as something that a terrorist would do. Have a spare bullet for a suicide mission so he could kill himself before being captured & interrogated.

On the old guys rifle it looks like a larger round than 762x39 to me
Probably has more to do with luck/superstition than anything else

In the pic of the guy with crutches that isn't a 7.62x39round. Could be a U.S. 7.62 or even an 8mm Mauser round.

I predict  Magpul is gonna sell a bunch  of Modular Backup Munition Carriers but not before the Chinese airsofters again beat em to the market. LaRue's billet version should be out by March with 10% of the sales going to Rick Perry.
