Pretty funny and the guy who plays Shaggy does a fantastic job. He has just the same mannerisms and voice as the cartoon.

When did Scooby Doo become big again?  I must have missed something, not having kids and all.  I watched the cartoon growing up.  The last year or so it's been Scooby Doo everything in the stores, even before the movie.

I was a pretty good movie.  The evil villian cracked me up.  My kids love the shows especially the movie zombie island.

I loved Scooby Doo as a kid. I still stop and watch anytime I see an older (pre Scrappy Doo) cartoon while flipping through the channels. Of course, my son is only 7 months right now, so he's not into cartoons just yet. I can't wait to see the movie, but I think I'll have to wait until its out on DVD. I don't think a 7 month old would last too long in a theater.

[:d] I know shaggy was. In the cartoon version, on one episode, you can clearly see him rollin' up a fat one in the back of the van. Also, "Scooby snacks" were nothing more than hash brownies.

I also thought I remember smoke rolling out of the van a couple of times.

Don't get me wrong I loved the cartoon and want to see the movie.

Yeah, I heard in the movie they do a couple references to the pot thing, one scene I think got cut out where Shaggy is at a garage sale or something and says "Pot!  For $5 dollars!"  You see a pot for $5...the director said no to it...

Will see it sooner or later...and as for Scooby Doo being popular again, as far as I can tell it never really went away, just a different generation and on Cartoon Network I believe.

After reviewing his threads for the last few months, I see why he does not understand.

He has managed to cut himself on his sock.
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=122261

Asked us where his Check book was.
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=123571

Burned himself with acid, not once but twice.

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=122255

Has not managed to figure out how to use a stapler.
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=121574

And could not understand why he should not talk to his new girl friend about her rape he heard about third party.
www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=122258

He has more "locked" posts than "Blaze of Glory"

Good luck ComputerGuy.  And next time you need help finding a website, I am sure someone else will help you.

Well, what do you expect?  That would be the typical response from any 16 year old.

I heard it grossed $56 million over the weekend, way ahead of everything else.

To me, that means one of two things. Either it's a sad commentary on the tastes of the
American public (that they would pay to be spoon-fed another lame Hollyweird rehash) or, and I'm thinking this is actually the case, there is nothing safe to take the kids to see these days.

But, either way it's probably a hell of a lot better than the animated movies Disney is producing these days.

Exactly. I'm taking my soon to be three-year-old daughter to see "Lilo & Stitch" on Friday. Her mom took her to "Scooby Doo" last weekend while I was working.

No it doesn't.  Do you have some problem with a father holding his daughter?

Thanks guys, I knew that there were plenty of dads here that would understand.

Nothing beats taking kids to the movies.

We are going to see the new Disney movie this friday.

I will let you know what the three year old thinks.

This here Fred bears resemblance to a middle-age Rocky from Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Maybe that's why Fred wears that gay ascot all the time.

FWIW, I chuckled at his comment.  Sick joke, but clearly a joke.  Just like breaking wind at church, imho.
