Pretty funny and the guy who plays Shaggy does a fantastic job. He has just the same mannerisms and voice as the cartoon.

took the kids to see it today...
dont know who liked it more .. me or them.. I rate it as a very entertaining movie... |
|
I took my kids friday night and I thought it was pretty good over all. One of the better kids movies I have seen in awhile.
|
|
I haven't seen the movie yet. I saw an ad of some type on TV that showed the main characters. Ya ever seen the movie Village Of The Damned? Fred looks like one of those freaky little kids grown up. [BD]

When did Scooby Doo become big again? I must have missed something, not having kids and all. I watched the cartoon growing up. The last year or so it's been Scooby Doo everything in the stores, even before the movie.

My three year old did make it past the opening ghost sceen.
"Daddy, I do not like this movie". We exchanged the tickets for "Spirit" tickets. tickets for me and my 3 year old...$12.50 Popcorn, gummy bears and soda...$14.00 . 3 year old daughter sitting on your lap for the whole movie....PRICELESS |

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the Scooby Doo gang were a bunch of pot heads. [):)]

View Quote Cartoon Network runs the show constantly, plus all the newer animated movies they have been putting out lately. My kids can't get enough of Scooby and the gang. I am glad I like the show or it would be hell at my house [:D] |

I was a pretty good movie. The evil villian cracked me up. My kids love the shows especially the movie zombie island.

I loved Scooby Doo as a kid. I still stop and watch anytime I see an older (pre Scrappy Doo) cartoon while flipping through the channels. Of course, my son is only 7 months right now, so he's not into cartoons just yet. I can't wait to see the movie, but I think I'll have to wait until its out on DVD. I don't think a 7 month old would last too long in a theater.

In the cartoon version, on one episode, you can clearly see him rollin' up a fat one in the back of the van. Also, "Scooby snacks" were nothing more than hash brownies. |

Yeah, I heard in the movie they do a couple references to the pot thing, one scene I think got cut out where Shaggy is at a garage sale or something and says "Pot! For $5 dollars!" You see a pot for $5...the director said no to it...
Will see it sooner or later...and as for Scooby Doo being popular again, as far as I can tell it never really went away, just a different generation and on Cartoon Network I believe. |

Loved the movie, I had two Great Danes until my divorce and I miss them more than her! Scooby always crcked me up and the CGI work was very well done. Shagy's part was played flawlessly. Your kids will love it.

I heard it grossed $56 million over the weekend, way ahead of everything else.
To me, that means one of two things. Either it's a sad commentary on the tastes of the American public (that they would pay to be spoon-fed another lame Hollyweird rehash) or, and I'm thinking this is actually the case, there is nothing safe to take the kids to see these days. But, either way it's probably a hell of a lot better than the animated movies Disney is producing these days. |

I haven't taken my nephews to the movies in awhile. I'd take them to this but I heard there were some marijuana references in this, did you guys think this was appropriate for elementary school age children?
I was kind of shocked last time I took them (the 2 younger guys are still young enough to want to go to the movies w/Uncle Aimless and his girlfriend w/o worrying about being cool-not so much the older two [:(])-anyway the cost of a movie has to be kind of tough on a family. My girlfriend and I have no kids and both work so it isn't a big deal, but if my sister took all 4 of her kids and bought 'em popcorn and stuff that'd be $ 50+? |
